Heat generation for fuel oil heating
A diesel power plant operating on heavy fuel oil has its own consumption heat load for keeping the fuel usable by the engines. This offers an opportunity for exhaust gas waste heat recovery even in single cycle plants, creating a way to improve the total plant efficiency. The reduced fuel consumption leads to economic savings and a positive contribution to environment as a result of reduced emissions.
Heating fuel with waste heat
Designed for waste heat recovery from diesel engines, the Alfa Laval Aalborg H boiler is used to generate steam for fuel oil heating and other self-demand needs of a diesel engine power plant.
The Aalborg H, which is available with a vertical or horizontal layout, is a simple and reliable smoke tube type boiler with an integrated steam space. The Alfa Laval Aalborg self-demand optimized solution employs an integrated exhaust bypass system for capacity control, allowing easy and fast site installation.
